My name is Jérémie Gerhardt, I'm working in HIG at the Norwegian Color Research Laboratory where I'm doing a post-doc. I did my thesis in the same lab and I passed my thesis from the ENST school in Paris in October 2007. The title of my research is Spectral color reproduction: model based and vector error diffusion approaches.
Almost four years day for day that I have been in Norway for the first time. Now My work here is almost over (end of this month). I will continue in another city and country, Berlin. New starting date is 1st of August.
I need a job, I need a job and I need a job. That is the most important information, a job in Berlin or Paris will be great. Something involving image processing, color science, interactivity (I'm thinking of medical imaging or an art oriented project involving high technology for example). But knowing that I spent almost the five years in spectral color reproduction, to continue in this field will be also wise.
Well, besides this small problem (my post-doc ends end of June) the various projects are going on: the Tomra/SINTEF/HIG project is close to be finished, I'm struggling to finish a CRA paper and the last three months will be full of writing (spectral vector error diffusion, spectral gamut mapping,...).
A week ago I passed my thesis in Paris ENST, and I got it :-) I talked a bit longer thant the 45min allowed but the jury didn't have to stop me. After a discussion took place for at least an hour. During that time I lost a bit the feeling of time, I was relieved after the presentation but still able to aswer the questions.
Now I have to add some corrections in my thesis due to the final comments I got, everything should finished soon.
Middle of June, time is running. The conference last week in Gjøvik was a success. But I have now to finish my paper for Iarigai, to extend the paper of GCIS for a journal, to think of writing a paper on spectral vector error diffusion (I have got interesting new results) and to finish my thesis as well.
Regarding of the GCIS of last week, you can download my workshop on Introdcution to Matlab for color imaging and my presention on spectral reproduction versus in the download section.
I would also to put light on this event event hold by a Andreas Kraushaar in fogra:
In this end of Mai I'm currently writting and writting. The goal is still to defend my thesis in Septembre in Paris.
I worked on explaining clearly the Neugebauer model and the Demichel model, and hopefully it should make clearer the explanation of Neugebauer model inversion. I also have to prepare a Matlab tutorial for the Gjøvik Color Symposium in two weeks. And and and finishing the Iarigai paper accepted for the conference in Grenoble this September. And I don't know how to translate "au taquet" in english.
